No Backpack Required.
Ahhh.... reading week! No school, no work until Feb. 27. Until then, I'll be taking a bite outta the ol' Big Apple. Yep, New York. I leave in the morning and have 9 days of holidays.
Jeremy and I have booked a couple of broadway shows, a Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning play called "Doubt" starring Ron Eldard, and Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
We also booked this free intimate tour, given by local New York volunteer who want visitors to feel at ease in their city. It will just be Jeremy, myself and Ton Von De Broek, who will take us around his own neighborhood and show us around areas that we're interested in. Not like the Statue of Liberty and stuff, but like local stuff. Cool eh?
Then we're also off to Maryland for ONE very long day. I'm going to finally meet my friend Karen from Florida who is going to school in Baltimore right now. We've been corresponding over the net for 8 years, it all started off when we met on a "Party of Five" bulletin board. She's then graciously going to drive us to a near city, Rockville so I can visit my Aunt for the rest of the day.
We also might have David Letterman tix, they called us yesterday and left a message. I returned the call this evening, I hope it's not too late to get the seats. If not, perhaps we'll line up for standby tix.
Okay, I'm off. I'll be leaving the minus 20 weather to enter a city covered in 2 feet of snow!
